The aim of this forum is to facilitate exchange of information and discussions related to insect production, between ERGIP members. The ERGIP forum is covering a broad area and hosting multiple discussion channels, such as insect technologies, insects’ genetics, insect application and insect nutrition, etc.). Furthermore, it is within the scope of this forum to provide young scientists with a channel (young scientist corner) for discussing and disseminate latest research in insect production.

    Let me just kick it off,

    I’m David, working at Inagro’s Insect Research Centre (IRC) since 2017 as full time insect researcher. At the ICR we focus on the production and reproduction of insects so ask me anything related to this :). Yet, we do not do research on post-processing or feed/food trials for other animals. I’m one of the 6 core members of ERGIP, hoping to connect and improve the communication between researchers in Europe al all over the world.

    Hi all! This is Ilaria and I am a Researcher in Animal Nutrition working at the University of Turin in Laura Gasco’s group 🙂 my research deals with all the aspects related to the nutrition of the so-called “small species” (mainly poultry and fish), in particular when insect-based products are administered to these animals. One of my favourite research topics is represented by gut microbiota/microbiome changes in both monogastrics and insect larvae, so I hope to find some colleagues with the same passion 🙂 I am also increasing my expertise in insect rearing and nutrition (mainly BSF). Nice to meet you all 🙂
